7/29/06: Hey guys! I know. It's been a long, long time. And we're drastically sorry. A lot of things have been going on in the world and we had to slow down Fall Of The West for a bit. But now, it's back, and even more badass than before! Because on this day we are releasing the On The Strings Of's new album! If you liked the last one, this one will blow you away. Check it out. And stay tuned! We have more releases to come out soon by Tennessee and The Wolf and Mancub.

Additionally, The Riot Before is on tour right now and has this really awesome tour/web journal going on that you should check out. And go to The Riot Before website to see if they're coming by your town!

Lastly, our good friend Matt from The English Work Standard has started his own button making company called Let's Stay Inside. You should check it out for your every day button-making needs.

As of right now, the This One's On Me CD is officially for sale! It's been quite a wait, but it certainly is worth it! These Near Death Situations Are Ridiculous is a very unique and amazing album, so by all means - check it out now! One dollar from each sale of this album will go to The Guerilla Foundsation.

Additionally, for all of you people who had to suffer through that cold freeze that had a grip on us for a while, your remedy has arrived! That's right, the FOTW Hoodies Of Doom are officially in! If you pre-ordered them, they should arrive to you shortly. And of course, if you didn't pre-order them before, you can do so now.

  01/12/06: As some of you might have noticed, Bookends' album "A Hook for Every Fish in the Sea" was lowered in price, from $7 to $6. This is because Bookends are awesome and want as many people as possible to hear their music. Just like us, they're really not in it to rake in the big bucks. One dollar of the six is still being donated to the Santa Cruz Bike Church, which is a great nonprofit in Bookends' hometown.

If you pre-ordered the CD for $7, you'll be getting $1 back in the mail along with the CD!

This One's On Me's new EP "These Near Death Situations are Ridiculous" is in production and will be released within the week. It will be $6 as well, and although it is a 5-song EP, it's actually almost 30 minutes long. They have long songs... long and great songs. Basically, this is two amazing releases in a row for us... and we're really excited and happy to be putting them out.

The hoodies are being made, so if you pre-ordered one the wait is almost over. We will have plenty of both designs to order as well, so look for that if you didn't pre-order last month.

Sorry if orders have been dragging a little, we've been busy with families and such during the holidays. Thanks to all of you who have stuck with us while starting up this label in the past year, it's been really fun and we're off to a great start. You can look forward to more from us in the new year with On the Strings Of, Tennessee & the Wolf, Mancub, and David & the Bear releasing albums early in the year.

    12/23/05: Hey Everyone,

A lot has been going on since we updated last. The Bookends’ album A Hook For Every Fish In The Sea is now available for pre-order! After much anticipation, this record can be ordered by the general public. Which is you! So go check it out; we assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Fall Of The West Records has had a sampler circulating for a little while now, but it is finally for sale on the site. If it pleases you, take a minute or two to give that a look over.

Also, the hoodie contest was won by these two awesome designs. You can pre-order them now, and they will be sent out at the beginning of January.

We also have a free release by David Jaberi of David and the Bear now available for download. David recorded seven tracks and made limited copies, which he entitled Oh HOW I Miss You, to be sold at shows. However, all of the songs are great and deserve to be heard by a larger audience. As such, we have put them up on the site along with the artwork for you to download. So, please enjoy!

    11/09/05: Your attention please, ladies and gentlemen of the vast FOTW community! We have decided to hold a Fall Of The West Records HOODIE DESIGN CONTEST OF DOOM! That’s right, your chance to break out as a hoodie designer for tiny independent record labels is finally here! I know you’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long, long time.

So, here are the details!

-The submissions will be initially judged by Alex, Brian, and Lindsey. We will narrow it down to three designs and then post those on the board for everyone to vote

-Each person can submit as many designs as they want

-To submit your design you can either post it on the message board or e-mail it to fallofthewest@gmail.com

-We decided for sure that the hoodie is gonna be zippered, so make sure to take that into consideration when designing and the design is gonna be one color, on the front only and needs to say “Fall Of The West Records” on it.

And whoever wins the HOODIE DESIGN CONTEST OF DOOM will receive not only the glory of winning, but a FREE HOODIE AND FREE FOTW RELEASE OF THEIR CHOOSING

    10/19/05: We are now taking pre-orders on The English Work Standard's 8 song album, Elvis Killed Sinatra. If you'd like to hear a few songs off of the record, go here. Also, if you've heard some of TEWS's earlier recordings, be prepared to be blown away. This takes them to a whole new level and beyond.

    10/16/05: Exciting news, everybody! The English Work Standard has finished recording! Their album is going to be full of 8 hard-hitting songs. It will be ready to be released very shortly and will cost $6 to order. It's going to be fantastic. Also, This One's On Me has finished recording and is in the process of mixing and they should be finished soon - so get ready for that as well, they're phenomenal musicians. But wait, there's more. Bookends is almost completely done recording also and I promise you, it's going to be nothing short of great. And lastly, but not least, Tennessee And The Wolf is beginning to record a short EP. I was lucky enough to hear the debut of one of the new songs that will be on this EP, and I have to tell you - it was nothing short of blowing me away. So, everyone has four musical records to get insanely excited about. Things are moving fast, and great. Oh, and if you haven't check out The Riot Before's release yet, make sure you do!     9/17/05: Ladies and gentlemen, we have a final product. That's right, The Riot Before album "Horseshoes and Hand Grenades" is finally complete! So, do your civic duty - and order it! It's only $7, and it's fantastic. Go here or here (The Riot Before myspace) to listen to some music off of the album. Second piece of awesome news: we have yet another new band on Fall Of The West! That's right, This One's On Me will be releasing an EP with us sometime in the short future. So get excited about that.     8/27/05: This is it, the moment! The Riot Before Album "Horseshoes and Hand Grenades" is now available for pre-order. So go on and check that out! It will be fully manufactured in only a couple weeks time. Get ahead of things, make sure you can acquire your copy as quickly as possible. Also, for those of you who don't really dig the whole "mail-order" aspect of things - good news! Starting next week, FOTW Records will have a paypal account so you will be able to order things via the internet or through the mail - your choice! Let's get excited, people.

    8/23/05: So, I've been traveling a lot for the past month so this site has not been updated. But, do not be fooled - a lot has been happening in the world of Fall Of The West Records. The Riot Before album ("Horseshoes and Hand Grenades") will be ready very soon! We're talking a couple of weeks. This is very exciting. Also,  Bookends, The English Work Standard, and Tennessee And The Wolf have all been recording. And from what I have heard, it's all phenomenal. The Riot Before t-shirts are also now ready for sale(ordering information has changed, so you should probably check that out). Also, we have buttons. Everything is going smooth, and moving pretty fast. Check back here soon for some more info.

    7/23/05: Alright! It's been a bit, but things have been happening. The Riot Before t-shirts and CDs are coming soon! T-Shirts sooner than CDs. Also, we have a fabulous new folk band Bookends that has joined up with us! They're phenomenal and their CD will be out late September if all goes well. Pins are on the way too! The past month has been very productive, and hopefully we all will see the benefits soon. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks!

    6/26/05: Wow, it's been a while. I really apologize, I've been constantly in and out of town for the past couple of weeks. The Riot Before's page is now up, so you should definitely check that out. It's very interesting. And the release of their record is becoming ever sooner, so start saving up a few bucks! Tomorrow (and I promise I will have this done tomorrow) there will be a new Tennessee And The Wolf song up. It's an acoustic song that we recorded about a week ago called "I Know What You Did Last Summer". It's very fun. You should check that out as well. New merch is on the way in the next couple of weeks, so be prepared. Alright, I believe that's all for now. I hope everyone's doing well.

    6/03/05: Alright boys and girls, we're back in action. The forums are finally up (thank you to everybody who helped), the design isn't finished - but it's good enough to be used at the moment. I know the Shows page was suppose to be up by now, but it's not. I'm sorry, hopefully it will be soon, but, ya know, things happen (but you still get the forums! so sign up and post). Additionally, the Someone Else MP3 was suppose to be up and the CD was suppose to be for sale by now, but due to some minor mistakes - that hasn't happened. It will be done this weekend. But now good news! A Rebel's Glory is going to be sending us some demos, stickers, and/or pins so those will be available too! You should check them out, they're pretty cool. More good news! There will be The Riot Before shirts and stickers in the near future! They're in development now, but get ready. It should all happen soon. Also, check out The English Work Standard's page - there's a picture update. Before I finish off this little news update, I'd like to say thank you Dylan for the awesome new banner. Okay. That's it.     5/25/05: Hey again, we finally got the new look up (thank you Dylan for the buttons!) and hopefully all the kinks worked out. There might be a few things still wrong, but that should all be fixed soon. Hopefully soon the forums will be set up, i'm getting everything with that worked out now. You should sign up for them when it is finished. Anyways, the shows page will be up tomorrow so stay tuned. Additionally, as soon as I get some art I will post it in the media section. Now to the final order of business, The Riot Before CD is going to be 10 tracks (with a little extra something, but I'm not saying what) and the price isn't certain yet. As soon as I get all of this info, I'll let you all know. Alright, keep on rockin'. Oh yes, and I'd like to tell you all that if you ever need a web site designed by good professionals, you should check out Hallow Web. They're good friends of mine and are great at what they do.

    5/22/05: Hey everybody! We finally got the new website up. However, it's still going through some changes - this is not the permanent design. Additionally, if you are viewing this website on Mozilla Firefox, you may be running into some problems with the site. I'm sorry about that, we're trying to get everything fixed as soon as possible. Now to the good things!

    Sometime late June/early July (the release date isn't certain yet) we will be putting out The Riot Before's very first CD/EP, tentatively being called Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. It's going to be phenomenal. It is very likely that there will be shirts available as well. So please check everything out! If you would like to check out some Riot Before MP3's, go here. Those, however, are not going to be the tracks on the album. It may have some/all of those songs, but Brett is currently rerecording. I hope you enjoy it, and have a nice day.
